Dr Ma has been recognised for her outstanding academic performance and achievements
with several awards, including the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of
Ophthalmology (RANZCO) Victoria Branch Indigenous Eye Health Scholarship and the
RANZCO Congress Jim Martin Award for Best Historical Poster. Additionally, Dr Ma was
also the recipient of the General Practice Student Network (GPSN) Schwartz First Wave
Scholarship which recognised her exceptional work throughout the course of her medical
degree. With a keen interest in research, Dr Ma has also co-authored several journal
articles.
Dr Ma completed her RANZCO ophthalmology training through the Royal Victorian Eye and
Ear Hospital (RVEEH) and has undertaken further sub-speciality training in Oculoplastic
Surgery. Dr Ma has extensive specialist training in all conditions that affect that eyelid,
lacrimal system and eyelid tumours and strives to offer the highest quality of patient-
centered care through her dedication to the profession and personable nature.
Dr Ma is fluent in English and Mandarin and is happy to conduct consultations in Mandarin.
